Driven to use design to grow a product while it’s still in it’s infancy...Jessica is most excited about the opportunity to help grow a product while it’s still in it’s infancy, by understanding its users and creating great user experiences. Her core focus at BlueChilli is to solve problems through design, from the user research through to the ideation, interaction design, prototyping and user testing of the product. She also works on designing the branding and the user interface design. She is driven to create beautiful experiences and make an impact on users.
Her design journey started in uni when she completed her Bachelor’s Degree in Industrial Design and designed a dog washing system for her final year project. Since then, she has been coached in digital design and user experience, learning from great mentors at various creative digital agencies.
In her free time, she participates in meet-ups and the occasional Hackathon, listens to podcasts, creates illustrations and watches shows like Broad City and The Wire. She also practices Muay Thai, boxing and just recently started attending Brazilian Jiu Jitsu classes which she is pretty excited about.
If you could have any super power, what would it be and why?
The ability to control time - to create more, travel back and forth and slow things down.
