Today we’re announcing we’re partnering with the Chamber of Commerce and Industry Queensland (CCIQ) to create Collaborate, a unique accelerator designed to build businesses focused on solving the problems of business.

Collaborate will be open to entrepreneurs from all industries, at all life-stages, and will be focused on creating products and services to solve the challenges faced by business – and building new businesses in the process.

Opening in February in Spring Hill, Brisbane, Collaborate will offer free-of-charge residency, access to programs, resources, mentors and opportunities to businesses which can meet the requirements for entry. BlueChilli will manage the centre and services provided.

Brisbane is an awesome city in which to grow and build a business. We’re really excited to work with CCIQ to deliver an Australian-first centre aimed purely at accelerating businesses interested in solving the problems of business.

In the coming weeks, CCIQ and its partners will release a series of challenges that they want entrepreneurial and innovative thinkers to overcome.

We will then open for applications for space within Collaborate and following a pitch process, businesses will be invited for a six-month residency we will put businesses through our 156 Startup Accelerator program.

From there CCIQ and BlueChilli will assist with funding, market research and if appropriate will take the product and service to market in Queensland, Australia and beyond.”

What really excites us most about the Collaborate concept is that we’re taking BlueChilli’s successful programs, applying them to insight driven challenges and meeting the needs of the market by solving real problems and building real businesses.

Over the next few weeks CCIQ and partners will release more details about Collaborate and the application process for businesses wishing to be involved in this exciting opportunity. Stay tuned!
