BlueChilli is on a mission not only here in Australia but globally. Our current goal is to build a portfolio of 100 awesome startups by 2016 and a combined portfolio value of a billion dollars by 2020.
The BlueChilli team are the top talent in the industry: bright, articulate, hands-on, collaborative. and highly experienced. You’ll learn from the best and bring your knowledge to help us grow.
With the recent opening of our Melbourne Incubator, accelerator and co-working space we are looking for a Startup Adviser based in our new Melbourne space.
You will be the startup founders’ mentor, guide, sounding board and tutor, helping them complete the rigorous 156 Accelerator curriculum in order to validate their business assumptions, prepare for raising investment from our investor network and the BlueChilli’s Venture Fund.
You will also help us represent BlueChilli in the Melbourne community, going to events relevant to BlueChilli and our startups.
So who are you?
You will have had experience from the startup trenches, ideally from two or more startup journeys as a founder or in an early hire role. You’ll know what it’s like to go from idea to business. You’ll have learned from failure as well as success.
You will be able to help founders navigate the highs and lows of the startup journey, helping them use their energy into a forward-thinking and productive way.
BlueChilli’s culture is fast-paced, frank and honest, professional but informal. We get stuff done but we take just enough time to ensure our work is of the best quality, and we are always looking to improve for next time.
Finally you must have mentoring or training experience, the ability to give constructive feedback without shying away from the truth, and most of all a passion for the startup community and the entrepreneurs within it.
